 The purpose of this study is to measure the perceptions of the local community and tourists on solid waste management, and the scenery effects and impacts on the environment after the development in Cameron Highlands, To identify the issues of solid waste management, and the scenery effects and impacts on the environment after the development in Cameron Highlands and  To minimize the issues, caused by solid waste management, and the scenery effects and impacts on the environment after the development in Cameron Highlands. So, This study was conduct in seven checkpoints that chosen in Cameron Highlands.

As a result, the data and all responses collected are crucial to achieving the objective. Based on the questionnaire survey, we can conclude that the objective has been achieved because the respondents voted for the scale of their perception of solid waste management. The second objective was also achieved due to the respondents knowing the issues of solid waste management and the scenery effects and impacts on the environment after the development in Cameron Highlands. Lastly, based on the respondent’s perception, we can observe the level of knowledge of the respondents towards the issues caused by improper solid waste management, and thus, the third objective is achieved. Hereby hoping that all data, perspectives, opinions, and perceptions can assist the authorities, such as the Cameron Highlands district council, to improve and take proactive steps to promote the importance of the environment and thus create a beautiful tourist hub. This will provide abundant benefits to the country, local government, and local communities.

overall, what I learn from this questionnaire survey study was, learn how to do pilot study before doing the real study for questionnaire survey, learn how to form a question that suitable for respondents in different types of background study, age , and nation. Besides that, I also learn on how to approach people to answered your survey, learn how to communicate with them and how to attract them to give more cooperation during the interview session and when their not interest with your topic. Finally, its teach me to think out of the box, act out of my comfort zone, and built to be more confident in whatever situation faced. I hope its will be important to built my soft skill to prepared me during my Final Year project and in the future.
