SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT CAMERON HIGHLAND

 

The purposes of this study are to identify the waste characteristics collected at Golden Hills Markets and to measure the solid waste produced by the Golden Hills Market. As a result, this study was only conducted at Golden Hills Markets on November 25, 2022, by collecting waste after the markets closed. The waste that was collected was separated, classified, and weighed.

In conclusion, this study collected solid waste at 10:00 pm at the Golden Hills Night Market and separated solid waste according to 7 categories. After that, weigh, measure, and finally get the percentage of the total weight of each type of solid waste at the night market. With this, there is a very high percentage for each solid waste category except glass. This is because there is too much solid waste caused by the irresponsible attitude of sellers and buyers to throw things in the trash and simplify their affairs. Therefore, the authorities must play a role in reducing solid waste in the Pasar Malam area and, for example, providing trash cans at each vendor's stall and in the surrounding area of the Night Market. So, sellers need to take care and cooperate to maintain cleanliness around the Golden Hill Night Market in Cameron Highland so that solid waste regulations can be reduced.

Overall, this study has teach Me, how to do and understand more the separating of solid waste, weighed them and classified them. Bedsides, learn to do survey on time management, to know when is the market closed, so we can estimated time by time to finished the work on time. Finally, learn how to communicated with others people whose responsible sin the markets management.
