The purpose of this study is to make an observation and analyze on selected road structures around the Cameron Highlands and also examine and compare the existing road width measurements in Cameron Highlands standards set by the public Works Department. So in this study the measurement is conduct at several checkpoints which are, Centrum Roundabout, Bandar Brinchang (23/11/2022), Kampung Taman Sedia (24/11/2022), and Kea Farm & Flora Park Pick Up area ( 25/11/2022).

In conclusion, at Brinchang there are three types of roads: arterial, collector and local. A high-capacity urban road is an arterial route. An arterial road's main job is to transport traffic at the highest quality of service between metropolitan centres and from collector roads to freeways. As a result, numerous arteries have limits on private access or are limited-access roads. Although arterial road designs differ from nation to nation, city to city, and even within cities, they have a few things in common. For instance, arteries are frequently laid out in grids or concentric rings, also known as ring roads, in many urban areas. Many jurisdictions additionally divide arterial highways into principal (major) and minor categories. Besides, a collector road, also known as a distributor road, is a low- to medium-capacity road that carries traffic from residential streets to arterial roadways. Collector roads, instead of arterials, are intended to allow access to residential homes. Occasionally, governments will distinguish between major and minor collector roads, with the former often broader and busier. 

A local road, often known as a street, is a route in an urban area surrounded by various properties that can be reached from the road, or a parking lot connected to the road. Local roads come in various forms, including residential streets, avenues, and alleys. These roads play an important role because, as you already know, Cameron Highland is a very famous tourist area and is an attraction for people. During the weekend, the roads around the Cameron Highland area will be congested and filled with vehicles making it difficult to move. Based on the research that has been done, most of the roads around Brinchang have met the standards set by U4-U5. U4 is a medium geometric standard with speed≥70 km/h; usually with partial access control, while U5 is a high geometric standard with a speed ≥80 km/h; a combination of divided & undivided sections with partial access control. 

Overall, from this study, I learn more on how to do the measuring on road structures. Understand the measuring tolls and how to match the technical drawing road structures and  the physical road structures. Finally, understand the purpose of this Transport Geometry.
