As a result, the three objectives that were set forth are all realized. The project's visual effects came from altering the existing view of the landscape. The subjective evaluation of the sensitivity of the visual receptors and the size (scale) of view changes were used to determine the visual impacts. For all of the collected data, the investigators rated several locations in the Cameron Highlands based on the eight aspects of the visual study, mainly between 3.1 and 3.7. There were only a few sites that scored below or above this range for individual aspects. Overall, the visual survey of the Cameron Highlands is valid, and the average scores and the response scores for each of these areas reflect a more consistent assessment of the Cameron Highlands from different perspectives. In addition, the visual survey was conducted in five other directions, for which the results varied considerably and were more objective overall.
Overall, what I learned from this VIA study was how to conduct a visual impact assessment study. Learn how to measure, how to feel the situation or condition, what are the categories or criteria needed for VIA, and how to rate the visual preference. I hope what I learn from this study will be useful in the future and for my final year project.
